Missing my sister today. =[
On Sunday my mom and I went on a long walk on the Mission Bay beach. It was about 80 degrees outside, and although I was missing some sun screen, it could not have been better. Bare feet in the squishy sand, jelly fish washed to shore, birds floating on the water’s surface. March is teasing us, giving us a taste of the summer El Niño might deny us this year.
"What’s In My Purse?" | Jamie Daily
I am always down to watch a “what’s in my purse” video, so I figured it was about time that I made my own!

Kurodo and I took photos here when we were just dating in 2010. The other day we took a couple again, almost four years later. =]
California weather has been blessed lately. We had a week or so of rain—which Southern California is not built for—but just in time for daylight savings we are experiencing some beautiful, hot, sunny days worthy of the beach. The air is dry, inhaled through the nose, clearing sinuses and flaking skin.
I slept in late on Saturday and when I came downstairs and opened the windows, a breeze of salty summer wafted in. My hair smelled like dry oil and my face smelled like sunscreen and all I could think of was reading my book outside in the shade of oncoming spring.
Husband and I talked about going on a walk, but as the temperature rose, husband found himself unwell and it ended up being a lovely day at home.
I wore my old sunglasses and bare arms and took out my camera to photograph the changing light of spring. From a mild winter, we have had it easy here in the south, but one does enjoy the break from sweaters.
Kurodo and I decided to get a coffee table for valentines day. Husband has been pulling for one for months and we finally had an excuse/opportunity to get one. I ended up picking one from World Market (which is my new favorite store, if you didn’t know). I will post more photos of our coffee table soon, but the one we chose is the bottom photo. =]
Valentines Day flowers. =]
